The World Synchronized Skating Championships in Zagreb

After 15 years, Zagreb once again becomes the host of the World Synchronized Skating Championship, taking place from April 4th to 6th, 2024, at the Zagreb Arena.

At the competition, there will be 22 teams from a total of 18 different countries, including two teams each from Canada, Finland, the United States, and Germany. Representing Croatia at this event will be Zagreb Snowflakes, which are a symbol of our country in the world of skating.

In front of the home crowd, Zagreb Snowflakes will perform a short program to the music of “Maria Magdalena” and a free program to the theme from “Pirates of the Caribbean”, performed by 2 Cellos.

This championship expects to see familiar names from the skating world, such as Pascal Denis, coach of the Canadian team Les Supremes, who composed programs for Zagreb Snowflakes, and Chris Buchanan, bidding farewell to judging.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for April 5th at 5:00 PM, followed by teams starting their short programs at 5:30 PM. The free program will take place on April 6th at 3:30 PM, with the award ceremony commencing at 8:00 PM.

Tickets are available for €40, while children’s tickets will be free to introduce the younger generation to this beautiful sport.
