The second edition of the Cinehill Film Festival is being prepared
One of the most prestigious film festivals in the region has moved from Motovun to Gorski Kotar and is now called Cinehill. The five-day festival offers top-notch films screened under tents and the open sky, set in the enchanting ambiance of the forest and natural beauty of the Petehovac resort above Delnice. Here is a brief overview of what you can expect at the festival.
The festival offers a rich program with over 50 screenings at locations in Golubnjak, Fužine, and Delnice.
In addition to Petehovac, the program will also take place in Delnice and the surrounding municipalities, aiming to extend the festival throughout the entire Gorski Kotar. Like last year, this year’s audience can enjoy a selection of the best independent films from around the world, with special guests, a musical program, and numerous accompanying artistic events and nature-related activities.
Ten screenings daily of films from around the world
Throughout the 5-day festival, each day will be filled with screenings of various films. On Wednesday, in addition to films, visitors can attend the lighting of the first festival bonfire by Stipe Božić, a renowned alpinist, director, writer, and honorary guest of the festival. The first day of the festival traditionally ends with a concert, and this year it will be performed by the band IDEM. Thursday morning starts with yoga, led by Dragana Yogini, a well-known yoga teacher from Zagreb. The day continues with a lineup of film screenings and additional events, such as the relighting of the festival bonfire.
For true film enthusiasts, two different ticket packages are available - Veliko brdo and Malo brdo
From Friday, additional activities will be a real treat for all nature lovers. Members of the Croatian Mountaineering Society Petehovac Delnice will share their favorite hiking routes around the festival area with Cinehill visitors. After learning about mountaineering equipment and hearing stories from recent climbing adventures, Saturday and Sunday will be reserved for walks around Petehovac on routes suitable for all ages.
The festival will close on Sunday with a concert by the band LET 3, following the film screenings.
