Rebel Theater: The Magical Journey of Rock and Roll, Vol. 1
Experience a musical journey through the ’50s and ’60s, the era when musical giants defied norms and sparked the revolution known as rock ’n’ roll! Guided by the sounds of music from Little Richard to the Beatles and Hendrix, traveling from Georgia through Detroit to New York, then Liverpool, London, and back, the dreamer Roll and the rebel Rock take you on a quest for that special sound.
Empiria Theater: Class Above
The conflict among teenage girls in this play is motivated by class differences. With its interactive and improvisational approach, the performance engages the audience, questioning their social position as potential participants in peer violence. Class Above also addresses issues related to identity, sexuality, and the impact of social media on the youth, but the primary thematic focus of the project remains all forms of violence—verbal, psychological, and physical—among adolescents.
Empiria Theater: Digitally Alone
The play explores loneliness influenced by social media and capitalist structures, addressing the fictionalization of life in virtual spaces and contrasting it with reality. Confined within her four walls, the protagonist Sara lives in a state of prolonged adolescence, embarking on an imaginary journey through various stages of her childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Her aesthetic journey is inspired by different decades that have shaped her fragmented identity.
Documentary Film: Honeyland
This award-winning documentary was originally conceived as an observational documentary about the dedicated work of a beekeeper in an isolated mountain village. With the appearance of vibrant nomads, the documentary unexpectedly shifted direction, creating a dramatic conflict. Despite the changes, the overall focus, rich in charm and humor, remains on the human relationship with nature—depicting harmonious coexistence with respect for natural laws on one hand and ruthless exploitation driven by a desire for profit on the other.
LOFT: Dream Hunters
The heroes of the play, dream hunters, work in a company specialized in children’s sleepwear. At night, they roam through dreams, attempting to collect, process, and store them, ensuring that sleep proceeds without disturbance. They peacefully take care of the healthy sleep of the little sleeper Franke until one night, a problem enters Franka’s dream, and our heroes must resolve the situation.
Fakin Theater: Tonček and Barbara
Tonček enjoys shooting sparrows, jumping in puddles, but dislikes being the only child in the village. On the other hand, Barbara adores animals, dislikes the village, and is afraid of the dark. When Barbara loses her cat, she will encounter Tonček, and they will teach each other how to climb trees, text on a mobile phone, leap over a stream, love animals, and, most importantly, how not to mistreat others.
