KVART 2024

From June 6th to 8th, Varaždin once again becomes the center of the KVART story. For those who may not have heard yet, KVART is a 100% local initiative built on the enthusiasm of organizers and the desire to create a more urban festival moment in Varaždin, featuring the latest music acts and discussions about the music industry in general.

This year’s 6th edition will be held at a new location

This year, for the first time, the KVART festival will take place at a new location, in the premises of Varteks in Varaždin. The reason for the move is the increasing popularity of the festival, with organizers themselves saying: “The courtyard at Preradovićeva 4 has simply become too cramped for all the visitors and activities that the KVART festival brings. We knew that this moment would come sooner or later.

Who can we expect at the festival?

The first announced headliner is Grše, a musician from Trilj who will be performing his first concert for the Varaždin audience. His hits “Mamba”, “Sip”, and “Mamma Mia” have millions of views, and Grše consistently tops the music charts. Recently, his single “Mamma Mia” reached #1 on the Billboard Croatia Song chart, making him the first Croatian music star at the top of digital streaming services in Croatia.

Ida Prester & Lollobrigida are coming to the KVART festival for the first time. This electro-pop band is known for their incredible energy during live performances, and for the past 19 years, they’ve been making waves at parties, clubs, and festivals with their edgy lyrics and punk attitude.

Another headliner is Jonathan, an indie/alternative band from Rijeka. Zoran Badurina, Branko Kovačić, Tomislav Radinović, Nikica Jurjević, Darko Petković, and Hrvoje Šćulac, known as Jonathan, are famous for their energetic live shows. They last performed at KVART in 2019 with hits like “Maggie”, “Who Lies to Whom”, “Heaven”, and “Try To Get Eaven”. This year, they will present their new album “Everyone Else is Ok” (2024).

KVART wouldn’t be complete without good trap music, and Buntai will take care of that. The group Buntai, with its members ¥ung Bude, Boki, and producer DeepSix, has been on the scene since 2015. What sets their sound apart in the Croatian scene is a strong influence from the modern American “Dirty South” trap scene, blended with local and personal styles.

The rest of the lineup features names like Tam, Fani, Lav, Dina Jashari, Cura, and dečko.
