Knights Return to Cres

With the arrival of the knights in the port of Cres, the Isle of Wonders begins. After weaving through the old town transformed into a place of fantasy, the knights reach the Cres Tower, which they symbolically defend against dwarves and bandits. Then begins a three-day adventure, during which the historic core of the city of Cres, surrounded by centuries-old architecture such as the Moise Palace, becomes a meeting place for renowned writers, actors, visual artists, musicians, as well as knights from the past and costumed film heroes.

“The goal is for both children and adults to forget about their worries, put aside their mobile phones and television screens, and immerse themselves in the world of imagination, returning to the realms of books and board games.”

The organizers have ensured that everyone can enjoy the activities, offering a diverse range of options at the festival. Visitors can engage in activities such as fencing and archery, painting figurines and crafting, pub quizzes, board game tournaments, as well as musical and theatrical performances.

Famous Faces Expected

The organizers have announced special guests, including:

Kieran Larwood, an author immensely popular among children and fantasy enthusiasts, who will share his inspiring stories and writing tips,
Jed Brophy, renowned for his roles in the iconic films “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit,” as well as the series “Rings of Power,” who will participate in panels and Q&A sessions,
Christopher Paolini, whose books have captured the hearts of many young readers, providing insight into the creation process of fantastical worlds,
Robin Hobb, an author who laid the foundations for modern fantasy with her works, sharing her experience in character and world-building,
Francesco Cavalieri, a musician whose music brings stories of dwarves and epic adventures to life, entertaining the audience with his performance.

Meet the Organizers, Realms Long Forgotten

The association was founded in 2022 by six friends, enthusiasts who joined forces with the same goal - to promote, develop, and enhance fantasy culture, encourage reading, playing board games, as well as fostering personal expression and creativity.
