PROZOR/THE WINDOW, Kazalište za djecu i mlade Merlin (Rumunjska)

Negdje, u bolnici koja se doima kao izvan vremena samoga, dva pacijenta dijele sobu i tešku tišinu čekanja. Gospodin White, sjedeći kraj prozora skrivenog iza teške zavjese, svakoga dana gleda u park – svijet pun života, boja i pokreta: ošamućenog čovjeka koji šeće psa, prodavača balona, djecu koja trče i smiju se, prodavača sladoleda. Svakom pričom koju ispriča svom sustanaru, gospodinu Blacku, čini se kao da udahnjuje život stvarnosti koja postoji nadomak hladnih bolničkih zidova.

Jednoga dana neočekivan trenutak urušava tu krhku rutinu. Gospodin Black ostaje sam. Kada ga napokon premjeste do prozora, s nadom u srcu povlači zavjesu. Ono što će otkriti dovest će u pitanje sve što je mislio da zna o svijetu, o drugome i o sebi.

Prozor je vizualna i poetska meditacija o krhkosti percepcije, ljudskoj potrebi za smislom i dubokoj čežnji za svjetlom, čak i ondje gdje se čini da više nema nijednog prozora.

Somewhere, in a hospital that feels suspended outside of time, two patients share a room and the heavy silence of waiting. Mr White, sitting by the window hidden behind a thick curtain, looks out each day onto a park — a world full of life, colour, and movement: a dazed man walking his dog, a balloon seller, children running and laughing, an ice cream vendor. With each story he tells his fellow patient, Mr Black, he seems to bring to life a reality that exists beyond the cold hospital walls.

One day, an unexpected moment disrupts this fragile routine. Mr Black is left alone. When he is finally moved to the window, he draws back the curtain with a hopeful heart. But what he is about to discover will call into question everything he thought he knew — about the world, about the other, and about himself.

The Window is a visual and poetic meditation on the fragility of perception, the human need for meaning, and the deep longing for light — even in places where it seems there is no window left.
